Pro wrestling icon Hulk Hogan has died at the age of 71. Emergency responders were called to his Clearwater Beach home Thursday morning for a cardiac arrest. He was transported to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Hogan, born Terry Bollea, was a central figure in professional wrestling for over four decades. Rising to fame in the 1980s with the WWF (now WWE), he became known globally for his “Hulkamania” persona and high-profile matches, including his historic bout with Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III.
Over his career, Hogan held multiple championship titles across WWE, WCW, and NJPW, and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame both as a solo wrestler and as part of the New World Order (nWo).
At the time of his death, Hogan was involved in a new wrestling venture and had made recent appearances supporting political events. He is survived by his wife, Sky Daily, and his two children, Nick and Brooke.
