Coroner Confirms Identity in Boise Homicide; Investigation Ongoing

BOISE, Idaho — July 1, 2025 — The Ada County Coroner’s Office has identified Christopher Holloway, 23, of Boise, as the victim of a fatal shooting reported late Sunday night on North Dalton Lane. Holloway died from multiple gunshot wounds, and the death has been officially ruled a homicide.


Police Respond to Late-Night Shooting

Boise Police responded to reports of shots fired around 11:41 p.m. on June 29 in the 2200 block of North Dalton Lane. Officers arriving at the scene discovered Holloway injured in a parking lot and began administering emergency aid. Ada County Paramedics took over medical care shortly after arriving, but efforts to revive Holloway were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead early on June 30.


Surveillance Sought in Ongoing Investigation

Authorities have launched a full investigation and are now asking for the public’s help. Detectives are specifically looking for:

  • Surveillance or doorbell camera footage
  • Suspicious activity or vehicles near the area around the time of the incident

Boise Police reported that a potential suspect vehicle was seen leaving the area, heading toward Sunflower Lane and North Maple Grove Road.
