BOISE COUNTY, Idaho — Fire crews have brought the Robie Fire to full containment at 54 acres, with complete control expected by Thursday, according to the Idaho Department of Lands (IDL).
How the Fire Started
The blaze ignited Tuesday afternoon near milepost 3.5 on Robie Creek Road after a trailer tire blew, sparking flames that quickly spread. One structure was impacted, the Boise County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
Evacuation Orders and Response
At its peak, authorities issued Level 3 “Go Now” evacuations for Lower Robie, Flowing Springs, and Burnett Lane. Wilderness Ranch was placed under Level 2 “Be Set” status. All evacuation orders have since been canceled.
More than 80 responders from multiple agencies worked to contain the fire, including crews from IDL, the U.S. Forest Service, Robie Creek Fire Department, Thorn Creek Fire Department, and Wilderness Ranch Fire Department. Three IDL engines, two U.S. Forest Service engines, and a U.S. Forest Service ground crew joined the fight. Two helicopters conducted water drops from Lucky Peak Reservoir to slow the fire’s spread.
Current Safety Measures
The Boise County Sheriff’s Office continues to monitor the area and urges drivers to proceed cautiously on Robie Creek Road, where fire engines and heavy equipment remain in operation.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
