Motorcyclist from Jerome Dies in Crash East of Shoshone

SHOSHONE, Idaho — A 61-year-old man from Jerome was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday morning along State Highway 24, Idaho State Police confirmed.

The single-vehicle accident occurred around 11:45 a.m. on June 1, east of Shoshone near milepost 39.5. Authorities said the man was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson westbound when he veered off the road to the right, traveled down a hill, and lost control.

Despite wearing a helmet, the man died at the scene.

The highway was blocked for over two hours as emergency crews responded and cleared the area. The incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
