
Elise Messerly Confirmed Deceased After Multi-Day Search
A 19-year-old woman who had been missing since Sunday night was found dead Tuesday evening off Highway 21 near the Sheep Creek area by Lucky Peak Reservoir, according to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.
Elise Messerly was last heard from around 10 p.m. on July 20. Her phone had last pinged near milepost 18 on Highway 21, prompting search and rescue teams to focus their efforts in that area.
Authorities Locate Vehicle, Confirm Identity
Search crews located Messerly’s vehicle—a 2012 white Toyota Camry with Idaho license plate 1A XIL7U—off the roadway. Details about the condition of the vehicle or the cause of the incident have not been released.
On Tuesday evening, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Messerly had been found deceased. Officials extended condolences to her family but stated that no additional details would be shared at this time out of respect for ongoing processes.
Investigation Continues
The Boise County Sheriff’s Office and other responding agencies have not released further information about the circumstances leading to her death. Authorities continue to investigate.
