ONEIDA COUNTY, Idaho — Fire crews have contained 75% of the Buckboard Fire, which has burned about 1,695 acres near the Idaho-Utah border.
The fire began Tuesday evening in the Samaria Mountains, southwest of Malad. Officials believe it started naturally.
No evacuations have been ordered, and no structures are threatened. Crews continue to work through challenging terrain and windy conditions, with full containment expected to take several more days.
