
NAMPA, Idaho — Authorities have confirmed that an Idaho Department of Correction (IDOC) inmate who walked away from a Nampa worksite on Monday morning has been located and returned to custody.
The inmate, identified as Justin L. Wallis, left his job site in Nampa at approximately 6:00 a.m. on August 11. Wallis is a resident of the Nampa Community Reentry Center, which houses offenders nearing the completion of their sentences.
IDOC described Wallis as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. At the time he was last seen, he was wearing tan pants and a black hoodie. He had been scheduled to complete his sentence on January 6, 2026.
By Monday evening, officials confirmed that Wallis was back in IDOC custody. No further details about his location prior to capture were released.
