ADA COUNTY, Idaho — The Ada County Mosquito Abatement District has confirmed the first West Nile virus detections of the season in local mosquito samples.
Positive tests came from mosquitoes collected near North Grenville Place and West Cory Lane in Boise and the Star Road bridge over the Boise River in Star, officials said.
Crews are actively treating and monitoring these areas to reduce mosquito populations and limit the risk of human infections.
