Idaho Joins Nationwide Crackdown on Robocall Providers
BOISE, Idaho — Attorney General Raúl Labrador, along with 51 other attorneys general in the Anti-Robocall Multistate Litigation Task Force, issued warning letters to nine voice service providers accused of transmitting unlawful robocalls across their networks.
The notices inform each provider that they may be violating federal and state laws. The warnings are based on the task force’s investigation and analysis of each provider’s suspicious or illegal robocall traffic. The task force demanded that these providers immediately cease transmitting illegal robocalls.
Widespread Scams Impacting Idahoans
According to Attorney General Labrador, Idaho residents continue to be targeted by a range of fraudulent calls, including:
- Jury duty scams
- Medicare cancellation threats
- Utility shut-off warnings
- Impersonation of government agencies and businesses
- Social Security impersonation
- Student loan forgiveness scams
“Idahoans are fed up with relentless scams. If bad actors continue to disregard the law, we will hold them accountable.” said AG Labrador on X
Ongoing Investigation and Federal Cooperation
The task force is working in coordination with federal agencies, including the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), to address these threats. The providers named in the warning include:
- Global Net Holdings
- All Access Telecom
- Lingo Telecom
- NGL Communications
- Range
- RSCom Ltd.
- Telcast Network
- ThinQ Technologies
- Telcentris (Voxox)
Nationwide Effort to Disrupt Robocall Networks
This initiative is part of a broader effort to disrupt illegal robocall operations and prevent scammers from reaching consumers. The task force continues to monitor robocall patterns and enforce compliance among telecom providers.
