IDAHO FALLS — The Idaho Falls Farmers Market opens for the season this Saturday, May 3, at its regular location on 600 Memorial Drive. The market will operate every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through October 25.
This year’s market features 173 vendors—up from 141 last year—and now spans six blocks. Organizers estimate weekly attendance between 8,000 and 12,000 visitors.
“Our theme is ‘Bringing Unity to the Community,’” said market manager Clark Poston. “We want this to be a welcoming space for all.”
Opening day includes live music from local performers Kaylee Lee and Keagan Park from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The market accepts SNAP and EBT benefits, with assistance available at the information booth.
Poston also thanked the Idaho Falls Parks and Recreation Department for their ongoing support in preparing the site each week.
Special events this season include a farmers market night at the Idaho Falls Chukars game on May 30. Plans are also in progress for an indoor winter market later in the year.
