Post Falls, Lakeland Voters Approve School Levies Despite Low Turnout
Voters in Post Falls and Lakeland school districts approved two-year replacement levies on Tuesday, though turnout was low.
In Post Falls, 62% supported a $5.96 million annual levy, continuing funding for programs including sports, counseling, and security. Lakeland saw 66% approval for its $7.52 million annual levy.
While both superintendents expressed gratitude for the support, the passage of these levies will result in increased local property taxes to maintain district operations.
