
NAMPA, ID — Three people died Sunday evening when a small aircraft crashed in a residential area near the Nampa Airport.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:41 p.m. on July 27 in the 200 block of North Venice Street. According to the Nampa Police Department, multiple 911 calls reported the incident. Responding emergency crews found the plane had struck an unoccupied outbuilding. No injuries were reported among residents on the ground.
All three occupants of the aircraft were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released their identities, pending notification of next of kin.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has responded to the crash site, and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is expected to take over the investigation. The cause of the crash remains under review.
In a public statement, Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling expressed condolences: “My heart grieves for those who tragically lost their life. Our thoughts and prayers are with their extended family during this difficult time.”
