Families Search for Missing Teens After Swiss Bar Fire
Families across Switzerland, Italy, and Greece are urgently seeking information about teenagers missing after a deadly fire at a bar in a Swiss ski resort.
The fire broke out in the early hours of New Year’s Day at Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps. Officials say the incident resulted in dozens of deaths and left many others injured.
Authorities have warned that identifying all victims may take days or weeks.
Fire Leaves Dozens Dead and More Than 100 Injured
Swiss officials confirmed that 40 people were killed in the blaze and 119 others were injured.
As of Friday, authorities said 113 injured individuals had been formally identified. Work continues to identify the remaining victims.
Verified images circulating online appear to show the bar’s ceiling catching fire while bottles with sparklers were being held overhead.
Families Turn to Social Media for Information
With official identification ongoing, families and friends of those missing have turned to social media to seek help and share photos.
Several parents reported visiting hospitals in cities such as Lausanne and Bern in search of their children.

Authorities and families have confirmed multiple missing teens who were believed to be inside or near the bar at the time of the fire:
- Arthur Brodard, 16, a Swiss national whose family has not been able to locate him after extensive hospital searches.
- Achille Osvaldo Giovanni Barosi, 16, an Italian national who reportedly entered the bar shortly after 1:30 a.m. to retrieve personal items and was not seen again.
- Giovanni Tamburi, 16, from Italy, who was separated from friends while fleeing the fire.
- Alice Kallergis, 15, a dual Greek-Swiss national, whose family says she and three friends remain unaccounted for.

Conflicting Reports on Teen Golfer’s Status
One missing teen, Emanuele Galeppini, 16, a junior golfer with Italian citizenship, was reported deceased by a sports federation.
However, Italian diplomatic officials have stated that his status has not yet been officially confirmed. His family last heard from him around midnight on New Year’s Eve.
Young Adult Also Reported Missing
Family members also reported Emilie Pralong, 22, as missing following the fire.
Relatives say she was believed to be at the bar with friends, some of whom may also be missing. The family described the wait for information as extremely difficult while holding out hope she may be hospitalized.
Authorities Continue Identification Efforts
Swiss authorities continue forensic and administrative work to identify victims and notify families.
Officials have urged patience as investigations proceed and have stated that confirming identities in large-scale fire incidents is complex and time-consuming.
