
Fisherman Reports Body in Hayden Lake
HAYDEN, Idaho — A body was discovered floating in Hayden Lake over the weekend, prompting a response from local authorities.
According to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the Henry Point area east of Hayden just before noon on Sunday after a fisherman spotted a body in the water.
Drone and Marine Unit Used in Response
Upon arrival, deputies deployed a drone to scan the location. The body was then confirmed using a marine patrol vessel. The sheriff’s office reported that the individual was deceased upon discovery.
At this time, there are no indications of foul play. The Kootenai County Coroner’s Office is handling the next steps, including identifying the individual and determining the cause and manner of death.
Ongoing Investigation
Officials have not released the name of the deceased pending notification of next of kin. Further updates will be provided once the coroner completes the examination and issues a report.
