Submerged Vehicle Discovered Near Cole and Lake Hazel Roads
Boise police have launched a death investigation after discovering a deceased man inside a submerged car early Monday morning. The incident occurred near the intersection of South Cole Road and Lake Hazel Road, southwest of the Boise Airport.
Authorities responded to a report of “suspicious circumstances” at approximately 2:19 a.m., according to a statement from Boise Police Department spokesperson Haley Williams.
Body Found Inside Submerged Car in New York Canal
Emergency responders from both Boise police and fire departments arrived on scene to find a vehicle submerged in the New York Canal. Upon closer inspection, they located a man’s body inside the vehicle.
Officials have not released the identity of the deceased, and details surrounding the circumstances remain under investigation.
Death Investigation Underway
Police have confirmed that a formal death investigation is in progress, but no additional information has been provided regarding cause of death, how the vehicle entered the canal, or whether foul play is suspected.
