Patriotism on Tap: Free Beer for Supporting Law Enforcement
In a bold show of support for U.S. immigration laws, The Old State Saloon in Eagle, Idaho is offering free beer for one month to any customer who assists Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the arrest and deportation of individuals unlawfully present in the United States.
Barowner Mark Fitzpatrick, a longtime supporter of traditional values and constitutional enforcement, posted the offer to social media, writing:
“Anyone who helps ICE identify and ultimately deport an illegal from Idaho gets FREE BEER FOR ONE MONTH at Old State Saloon!”
Multiple months may be awarded for multiple verified deportations. The saloon created a dedicated email—deportations@oldstatesaloon.com—to receive submissions including videos, photos, and documentation.
Community Leadership in Action
The response was swift, with Idaho residents and national supporters alike cheering the initiative. One local Republican leader, Ryan Spoon, vice chair of the Ada County GOP, was publicly recognized by the bar for aiding in a successful ICE arrest—and will now enjoy free beer from any of the saloon’s 20 draft options.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) even reposted the bar’s announcement, prompting the saloon to reply with enthusiasm:
“Let’s go! Deport them all!”
Embracing American Values in a Divided Time
Fitzpatrick and the Old State Saloon have long positioned themselves as a hub for Idahoans proud of their country and its founding principles. Known for unapologetic patriotism, the bar’s social media bio reads:
“Liberals around the world hate us. Birthplace of Heterosexual Awesomeness Month.”
In 2024, the saloon made headlines for launching “Heterosexual Awesomeness Month” during June, offering discounts to heterosexual men, women, and couples as a pro-family counterpoint to Pride Month.
The bar also offers merchandise that reflects its message—shirts emblazoned with slogans like “Make America Straight Again” and hats promoting traditional American values.
Locals Rally Behind the Saloon
Despite predictable outrage from far-left activists and coordinated negative online reviews, support for the saloon continues to grow. On social media, commenters have offered to donate beer money, create a “Deporter of the Year” award, and celebrate the bar’s courage.
One customer put it simply:
“This is why I love Idaho. Real people standing up for law and order.”
Trump’s Deportation Surge Backed by Community Action
The timing of the promotion aligns with President Trump’s record-setting deportation campaign. DHS officials report over 515,000 formal removals this year, with an estimated 1.6 million self-deportations.
Tricia McLaughlin, DHS Assistant Secretary, credited the momentum to restored leadership:
“The president’s agenda has jump-started an agency that was vilified and barred from doing its job for the last four years.”
By incentivizing support for ICE at the local level, The Old State Saloon is doing more than serving drinks—it’s serving its country.
